One Piece Live Action is the gold standard of doing these live action remakes and it's not even close. If you're gonna do them, make them as unapologetic as possible

Saying something as simple as "this could've been done better" or "the scene should've played out this way to make it a little better" is perfectly fine, but when you start to add your own personal fanfiction and completely different plot threads, it's a whole other movie at that point
