Happy #BlueSkyMonday, Bluesky friends! A little blue sky returned following the Christmas Eve snowstorm in Maine.

One of the most incredible shots I've ever gotten, in Yellowstone. This coyote walked over a ridge in the blowing snow and posed for me, with a small grin on its face, the snowfalkes like stars in the background. The desolation and beauty of life and nature is grounding, and so good for the soul.

Again I’m no fan of the cold but there’s something so placidly splendid about snow-covered nature that takes you somewhere else from wherever you are. NJ park during first snowfall of 2025

A mistake

What will I do? Likely drop coverage and save the cash. I’ll apply for the cash price for procedures and likely come out ahead. But, my decision won’t help others left in the system. The pool of insured will become smaller and sicker. This is the insurance death spiral.

Long story short, I’ll be spending almost 7k more next year for health insurance because of Trump and Trump Republicans.
