In a lot of cases I think people should follow this rule more often: if something is weird, and it might even upset and provoke you, but doesn't actually harm anyone... Just leave it alone. I follow this rule with some stuff/communities I personally dislike instead of being rude to people into it.

The therian community is like 30 yrs old and many people reported feeling other then human before discovering the community. Therianthropy is not a trend, it is an identity.

Therians should be allowed to exist in the open. We shouldn't have to hide who we are because of other people's bigotry, actually.
