Witch Hat Atelier is weirdly both upsetting and motivating for me to read because the author keeps casually putting notoriously difficult subjects into the panels, like elaborate clothes and architectural perspective and hand poses and murals etc

I thought it was neat for about 15 mins but then realized it just answers questions you previously could Google, is often wrong, it is destroying the planet, costs billions of dollars while using stolen training data, and is further isolating us as a species. It is not miraculous or amazing.

ChatGPT is scary among other things because it gives powerful institutions an easy blueprint to obfuscate lies. It produces inaccuracies so frequently and is so easy to use that making obviously nonsense claims is now assumed to be lazy rather than malicious
