Civic leadership is know that, no matter how unique your city is, it can still learn from others. Broad upzoning in Austin, Auckland, & Mpls led to more homes built + stabilized & even reduced housing costs. NYC & Boston can both learn from these examples. NYC is on that path. Will Boston follow?

Exactly nowhere in this article is there mention that Marblehead voted down a multi-family zoning requirements plan in the MBTA Communities Law, forfeiting $3.8M in state grant opportunities and the revenue an expanded tax base would generate. Small, rich towns in MA would rather die than grow.

Respectfully, madam mayor, this is an area that requires leadership, not pandering to the loudest voices in the room. Everyone wants less traffic and safer roads. It's up to you to decide how we're going to get there then do it *right*.
