Trans Lives is about everyday life more than identity. I discuss transitioning groups from 7 countries, and the gritty practical side of gender transitions. Trans medicine, social forces, and anti-trans campaigns. Finally, trans organizing around the world, and paths towards a different future.

A frustrated US president, in trouble at home and abroad, sends an aircraft carrier and starts a bombing campaign, supposed to win quickly. Sounds familiar? The year is 1965, the place Vietnam, the campaign "Rolling Thunder". It lasts 4 years, it makes 40 000 civilian casualties, and it fails.

Returning to social media at so bleak a time isn't easy. Deaths in Ukraine, Sudan, Gaza and Iran mount up, and the killing goes on. Our environment is being wrecked, and the wreckers remain in power. We need to mourn. But we need to work too: building energy and ideas for different futures.
