A4: Consider interdisciplinary project where you students learn ideas and concepts within ELA and then invite your colleagues to offer ways you could reinforce math learning in YOUR lesson. They will find the connection, and BOOM- Got em. #literacies

A4 The challenge is that teachers who want to work in formulas and math facts need support. What is the census? How is it used to count people? How do race and class change how the census is used? Then engage in real-life data to explore these. #literacies

A4 Being defunded is disturbing and disappointing while also revealing a great compliment. Push forward. #literacies

A4 I had a math teacher develop all of her word problems based on race history facts. "How many years after the signing of the Emancipation Pro were Black people able to vote?" #literacies 3rd grade teacher

A3: We all participate in race framework, as ally's, objects, and subjects. Our literacies and awarenesses of this is how our actions are able to serve the positions we hold or are endowed. #literacies.

A3 ...And it is a narrative of our republic that illuminates how our very government and institutional structure rely upon race in order to advance itself. #literacies

A3: As such, racial literacies help us to see when this "centering whiteness" work is happening. Without a racial analytic lens, we would not even know it is happening. #literacies

A1 Engaging and allyship are important. Consider the multiplicity of also inviting the opportunity to "unplug." My dear colleague invited me to a "sound bath," and the idea that she needed it and extended it to me was amazing.
