Got woken up at 5 this morning by a Tornado Warning, suffered scratches from herding 3 confused cats into the walk-in closet, spent the next hour keeping them from fighting each other & me in the walk in closet until it passed, then slept for all of an hour before my work alarm. I am cranky today.

Been catching streams of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and I wasn't planning on picking it up right away, but damnit, it looks really good (and I really need to beat STALKER2 and KCD1 first...damn there being so many games!)

I cannot agree more with this PCGamer article. I would still be playing Destiny 2 if it weren't for its seasonal content model that made playing the game feel like a full time job so I wouldn't miss out. Helldivers 2 respects my time by letting me take a break. I hate monetized FOMO in games now.

Took awhile before STALKER 2 got its hooks in, mostly because I kept quitting after getting jumpscared by mutants that can turn invisible. But now I'm really enjoying myself! Also after working in nuclear power for 5.5 years, pretty cool to see Chernobyl nuclear power plant in a video game

Picked this up on the winter sale and I can fully see how this game becomes like cocaine.

After lots of starts and stops, I'm finally hitting a groove with STALKER 2. I've not usually been great with these kind of games but I'm determined this time. I think the only thing that I'm really grating against are the insane repair costs.

Merry Christmas. This has been a hell of a year, for better and worse. Work has been crazy, but friends were there for me in ways I didn't expect. They strong armed me into spending time I otherwise wouldn't have. I met some new people too, and they were lovely. I hope next year is just as good.
