Looking at the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5, I can't help observing that any notion of holiness that makes us less loving, less kind, less joyful, less patient, less peaceful, etc. is, well... mistaken. Holiness is love on fire not condescension on ice.

Prayer is not a utility plugged in to get our will done but an invitation to communion with God where we discover his will and give ourselves to his purpose.

God did not ask Adam & Eve, "Where are you?" because he didn't know where they were, but because they needed to hear his merciful voice calling them out of shame and hiding. He still calls. The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost and he longs for us to come home.
