I really miss the "play create share" era of PlayStation games. LittleBigPlanet and ModNationRacers were my jam. I bet they would have been recieved really well if they were released today. It's a shame that most zany customization in online games has been scrapped in lieu of microtransactions.

Everyone's talking about how vanillaware games need to be ported to PC but I'm still waiting for Muramasa Rebirth to get ported to a more modern console with broader support. I absolutely love my Vita but It's really a shame a lot of its library isn't available elsewhere.

Jak II impressions after replaying it for the first time in a decade: Some missions weren't nearly as hard as I remembered, but maybe thats because I knew a good strategy for them. The blast bot mission was really fun this time around. Escort missions are still annoying though.

Can we post best consumes/skins instead?

The base game was merciful enough to cap the unlockables at 200 orbs, but the platinum trophy requires getting all 286. I can't tell if I've punished myself enough already or if I need to grind out the racing challenges for 15 hours until I get all the orbs

The most nostalgic part of my Jak II playthrough is reading through a GameFaqs post from 2003 about a soft lock that I managed to get myself into. The two fixes are (1) Restart the game (2) Mail your PS2 memory card to Sony and they'll edit the save data Do you think option 2 still works?

I was really unsure about getting a Playstation Portal but I can now confidently say it's the best way to play the Jak trilogy on a handheld with trophy support. I know that's not really high praise considering the only alternative is the 10fps vita port that I suffered through but still

this has been a wild month for Ratchet & Clank mobile game releases

Looking back, difficulty spikes were actually one of my favorite things in games as a kid. Aside from making games last longer, I would sometimes have to go to a friend's for help beating it. I found the memory card slot in PS2 game cases to actually be useful.

I think one of the underrated effects of the Steam Machine and Deck is that it provides a good benchmark for developers to target. There's a concrete line for devs to target for performance. It'll make it harder for AAA companies to release unoptimized games and blame consumers for bad performance

Sometimes I'll see a clickbait title that's technically true but so stupid that I'd prefer if they just made something up instead. I just saw an article titled "US Banks will halt all activity for 48 hours this November" and the content was "they will be closed on Veterans Day and Thanksgiving"
