I’ve done more manual labor today than I have in a v v long time, and I’m reminded now more than ever why I either need to (a) continue making good enough money to have professionals take care of stuff, (b) have a mechanically inclined partner, or (c) both.

Yesterday, I learned why we called a turkey “dinde” in (Louisiana) French. Apparently, during French colonialism in North America, turkeys were called, “poulet d’Inde,” or “chicken from India,” because the French thought the Americas were the Indies. Over time, that term got shortened to “dinde.”

Everybody was a part of the Clean Plan Committee, and I sent Bebi back to campus w plates for him and his friends who are stuck practicing for tomorrow’s Battle of the Bands. Did all of my girls proud! 🥲
