I would tell students: 1. Think of it like creating an automated slideshow 2. Excel turns the slideshow into an exp - don't ignore excel 3. Open a familiar exp 1st (like a Stroop task), and go thru every part of it 4. Make a mini version of your task 1st, to make sure it's doing what you want it to
