We have opened up a direct line of communication with James Daunt who has acknowledged our concerns and indicated a willingness to discuss the Newkirkgate Centre issue with us. We believe it was your strong response which enabled this to happen so swiftly. We will keep everyone regularly updated.

It’s been a pretty busy couple of days all things considered! Our priority now is to meet with civic leaders to discuss how this affects our business. We will also be calling for public consultations with both the indie businesses and the wider community of Leith regarding future Newkirkgate plans.

My partner and I always joke that my writing “turns on” at 11 at night. I just had the “eureka” moment at the start of a story where the character reveals who they truly are (I don’t control it, don’t ask), and said as much to my partner. He looked at the clock and just laughed.

About half a year ago I had a little cry on the couch about something I couldn’t share. A beta reader just threw their phone away and gave me the “now I know why”. Yes, it’s 2am. Yes, we spent the last hour talking about it and are emotionally damaged. Can’t wait to share it with you all <3

Wild that The Druid's Bindings has been out in the world for 4 months now! It feels like it has been so much longer already... I guess that's the side-effect of working on a book so long before publication. If you have grabbed a copy since, let me know how you enjoyed it!

Big order for all my upcoming events placed. Only 40 out of a 100 books were printed correctly. The other 60 have a massive white line at the bottom of the cover. These books have been printed before, the margins are correct. #IngramSpark how did this not get caught? Was there no quality control?

Why are reviews so important? Not only do they help me find more readers, Amazon will not recommend a book unless it has received at least 50 reviews! Additionally, bookshops might check Goodreads and/or Storygraph before they stock a book.
