Myself and @sashadistan.bsky.social ran a panel at #CFz2025 titled “Let’s Do Worldbuilding.. Together!” We had an audience of around 30 at its peak, and overran by 45 minutes. It was fun presenting how to build worlds for fictional stories and in a collaborative setting. Same again next year?

Happy to announce this now, I've been working on it for months, behind the scenes. Writing a Telegram bot has been an interesting experience!

Went to the Trafford Centre in Manchester at the weekend. The entire Classics-inspired design of the place is strangely jarring for a shopping centre!

The last three or so weeks have been busy. I was ill, day job busy, nothing exciting there. My video edit queue hasn’t really got any smaller, largely due to lack of time. This weekend, I’m away in Manchester, but hopefully I’ll make some progress on music in Logic Pro for those video montages.

I bought two video lights a few weeks ago, in preparation for Scotiacon. Same make and model, but I’m having to return them today as the software is incompatible with both lights. Why the manufacturer didn’t change the product code or say one of them was a “new version” makes no sense.

We are pleased to announce our 2025 LondonFurs meet dates! First one of the year will be January 11th 2025.

Travel over 5,000 miles, end up in a fancy tea shop in Chiang Mai, and still manage to have Christmas music playing on the speakers, at the end of November. Can’t escape.

Just ordered 900mbps Internet (FTTP), a nice upgrade from 64mbps. Too bad it's not symmetric on upload and download, but beggars can't be choosers, I suppose. Acutely aware that not everyone has access to this level of Internet either!
