I think the thing that bothers me about that ai romance person, and all ai ppl, is that they count on your stupidity for their capital gain, and the stupider you get the better it is for them... Also makes you think about how that person thinks about romance readers... it's a lot to unpack frankly.

The point of the AI project is to provoke despair in creative people. They haven’t produced profits or anything anyone wants, just a steady stream of articles about how us artistic types can’t do the thing we’re already doing, making art. Jokes on them, we’re even better at despair than they are.

I think what angered me most about that ai corpo booklicker this morning that it dismisses all of us who learned to do art against the odds...

generative AI has become widely available in the summer of 2022 and entered mainstream in 2023 people are working themselves up in a frenzy, convinced they're utterly helpless without software younger than still-fresh canned tuna. we have been making art for at least 50,000 years, get a grip
