The indifference and lack of effort is what makes GenAI so frustrating. It isn’t *laziness,* (a word I despise) it’s that lack of care, and honestly, just pure disdain and disrespect for the process.

To me, it’s a question of “either you care about this enough to do it yourself or to hire someone to do it the right way, or you simply wanted to post some some kind of slop without caring about whether or not it was good or accurate or artistic.

I keep coming back to this, but even if we discount all the other reasons to be against genAI, “I can’t be bothered to read anything that someone couldn’t be bothered to write” rings very true. If you aren’t passionate enough to write about a thing, just…don’t publish anything about it! That’s it!
