Rebecca Bligh voted to slash wages for workers, to block rental housing in wealthy neighbourhoods, and to oppose common sense tools to properly fund our schools. We need a progressive mayor on the ballot to deliver the change Vancouver needs. And we’ll get one. More soon.

Bligh has a decent amount of support from the province and feds (more than Sim or Allam at this point), which could help. But her 6 years being a supporter of Ken Sim, and getting elected under both the NPA and ABC banners, means it’ll be difficult to get support from local left-wing parties.

ABC back room decision making doesn’t stop at City Council. My motion to restore democracy and transparency at the Vancouver School Board is an attempt to address this. This motion tries to address the following problems that I, alongside unions, believe are an obstacle to good governance: 👇🏾

WE DID IT! We SAVED the bus! TransLink's 2025 Investment Plan is out, and it confirms that our collective efforts have paid off: no bus cuts until 2027 and a 5% increase in bus service starting this September!

Some of the most bold, creative, and innovative housing models are supportive. I think of the youth I’ve referred to homes that have support services built-in, ones that help them re-build their lives. 👇🏾
