The Lapwing Stars by Tom Hirons. It was published in Falconer's Joy in 2018 (sadly now out of print but he's hoping to get a new edition out next year). One of my favourite poets. Check out his Sometimes A Wild God if you don't know his work and want a punch in the heart.

Today's adventures in synaesthesia. Couldn't remember the word chartreuse for about 2 hours because that is a DUSTY BROWNISH PINK word that tastes like roasting chestnuts! As if the shade of green it is didn't make me feel naturally ill the dissonance between the word & the colour gives me vertigo.
