Alruna: End of History is even better than I was hoping it would be and you should make it part of your Pride celebration this month. My only complaint is that I don’t have enough time right now to 100% it because I have a project with a tight deadline I’ve been avoiding all weekend to play it.

I have a genuine question: I block AI posts immediately because I don't want to interact. But more often than not, as I am going to block, I see a lot of people calling it out in the comments. Is it actually helping anybody or just giving the AI poster attention?

St Francis’ Prayer - Sinead O’Conner. I am not religious but it brings me comfort and is my go-to when I need to feel calm and content. The message of forgiveness and love and being a comfort to those who need it helps me reset when I feel like everything is awful forever.

Grits. It’s about $5 for a bag that will make several meals worth. You can eat them plain or add just about anything to make them fancy. Breakfast for dinner was a staple for me back when you didn’t have to sell a kidney to buy a pound of bacon or a carton of eggs. Grilled cheese is a close second.

Off to a good start with my #DesertBusForHope #Craftalong project for this year. I am still skeptical about the colors but they’re the best I could do. My first choice in yarn was sold out of the main color (I need about 1400 yards of it) so I improvised and I’m trying to trust the process.

I have “Coffee Day” on Saturdays with my sister and the niblings. I saw a reel earlier this week where someone put pony beads on fairly lights and knew we had to do it. It has been a great hit and I’m obsessed with the final product!

I’m a few days late in announcing but I’ve been accepted for the #DesetBusForHope #Craftalong again this year! I’m so excited to be part of such a cool event and looking forward to spamming progress pics over the next couple months. This is the design I decided on. Working Title: Choir Practice.

I just finished this #Crochet sweater for my nieces birthday. It’s not washed or blocked yet but I love how it turned out! I wasn’t sure the idea would work when it first came to me but now I’m planning one for myself in a different color scheme.

I had to stop watching Lord of the Flies because it’s past my bedtime but also because I know what’s coming next and feel physically ill about it.

Alruna: End of History is my new Silksong. I’ve been checking twice a day all year to see if there are updates on the release.

I think this is it. I decided against a dither effect to represent the silk explosion that happens when you die. I haven't submitted, much less been approved. so I am still open to feedback for the time being. This will eventually be a tapestry crochet blanket for Desert Bus For Hope.

Enough of the Onion Lord, time to focus on the important things: This year's Craftalong project. I was going to go with the simple chevrons in The Panalysst colors but then inspiration struck and I came up with a tapestry idea. What are your thoughts? #DesertBusForHope #crochet #WIP

Considering I had basically 48 hours to throw this together and only about 6 to get it painted I am okay with how it turned out. And I got paid for technically defacing public property which is also cool.

I was coerced into painting a mural Saturday and this is my very rough proof of concept. I’ve never painted a mural before and am woefully underprepared.

I come here to look at neat art and to make myself sad reading the news. The amount of AI accounts I’m having to block lately is really cutting into my crying time.

I’ve been persisting despite the horrors. I haven’t had a lot of time to work on this project but it’s working up quickly when I do get to sit down with it. Side A is complete and once Side B is done I’ll attach them, add the border and fancy bits, and weave in those ends.

Coming along quickly! I am almost halfway through. Still trying to figure out if I am going to do it in one long piece or if I should do it in two pieces and join them in the middle.

Keeping my mind and hands busy because there’s not much else I can do at the moment. I feel like it won’t look like much until I get th trim on it but it’s working up quickly.

I’m trying not to hate this. I am trusting the process really hard right now.

The world is rough right now but the feral cat we’ve been feeding finally felt safe enough to bring her kittens by. They are terrified but let us pick them up briefly to make sure they’re healthy. Once they’re a little older we will get them vetted and socialized so they can find loving homes.

They should have let Steak and Shake die.
