Ok. I’ve measured everything, designed the part in FreeCAD, printed out a 1:1 scale technical drawing and check against the existing parts, had FreeCAD crash because I clicked a button… I guess all I can do is fire up the 3D printer and hope!

My MK3 design actually worked. I didn’t even print MK2 aside from scrapped it and made the design more modular which was a lot easier. Looked at some FreeCAD tutorials but that’s doing to take time to learn

Wished I could help a little, but I never used FreeCAD. Been on 2D AutoCAD and Inventor for the majority of my working life.

Finished and installed an under-desk drawer! Designed in #FreeCAD and 3D printed on my #Prusa MK3S. It took a few iterations to get past the design bugs. I parameterized most of the dimensions in a FreeCAD spreadsheet so it can be reconfigured for different sizes.

New, much cleaner visor mounting system which also makes it way easier to cut the visor to the correct size? 👀 (At least, that's the idea lol) #MadeWithFreeCAD

Well, I can't say I'm not satisfied with the results of my first steps with @freecadnews.bsky.social. It took me some time to understand how to create the 6 threaded holes but the rest was impressive easy. Since I haven't the needed machines, I used the services #JLCPCB is offering. 🤩😁

My dumb pencil holder. Done in FreeCAD and sliced in CURA. Printed fine last night in about 4 hours, 10% infill. I realize now I shouldn't have made the holes 100% depth. But the FreeCAD --> object pipeline has been validated!
