Btw, it's worth looking at the whole papyrus, because besides the antelope and the lion playing 20 Squares, there's also a hyena, fox, and wildcat herding goats and geese, one of them playing the double flute. And the games got a little spicy because the lion ended up in bed with the antelope.

I got a copy last year and it is really really great! Beyond the art itself, it's as good an expression of what furry is about that I have seen.

I do wholeheartedly recommend this book. I got it last year and it's a very good and interesting read paired with gorgeous artwork. It sparked my interest in trying my paws on oil painting. So go get it and read it!

Since I became a father in 2021 I find myself worrying a lot more about the future, but also having a keener sense of reality and how messy and complicated it is. I’ve been fantasizing a lot about anthros living in solarpunk-ish near future settings as a way to process those feelings.
