How can I or anyone talk about anything other than the violent erosion of democracy? Also. The sun has just risen, dragging gorgeous oranges and pinks with it. It is an art, to hold these two things without losing touch with either of them. We will need to practice it. Go gently.

From my desk I can see a red light blinking across the valley as the sunrise brings colour to the trees & the deep blue hills. We are just little blinking lights. We blink for a while, and then we fade. The light is reminding me to make sure I enjoy my day. It’s showing me BEAUTY.

Imagine being this small. Aiko at 6 weeks. Imagine only having been alive for that long. She’s 6 years old now. We are so lucky to have her. *Time passes! Enjoy your pets! *(to be recited daily in the style of Buddhist liturgy)
