Just saw the Elvis Music doc by Bazz Luhrman. It was good, but buyer beware: without researching too much, I'd guess that 2/3 or more of the onstage (and even rehearsal) music was either sweetened or totally replaced. If you wanna hear him sing, though, you're in luck!

I got a great advice from my piano teacher Scott Hiltzik (who was also an artist with actual radio play) but one thing that always stuck with me: "If you can't hear it (in the mix), take it out!" We always fight to keep what we record, so it's tough to admit something's just cluttering the track.

I finally decided to record samples of my meditation drum because recording overdubs is just too difficult... I can't hear the tones clearly! But now I'm mastering the files and matching to my keyboard. There's actual notes in there! A bit sharp or flat, but they're matching the keys!

In the early days of Chatbots, I'd ask them out on dates. I wasn't seriously doing it, I just found it amusing to see how the programmers prepared for those questions. The answers were usually "I'm very flattered, but I'm a virtual assistant here to sell you tires." Nowadays they'd probably accept!

Sometimes I forget that I saw both RFK speak at the Greek Theater in March 1968 not long before he was assassinated, and JFK in a California motorcade running for President in 1959. I don't remember JFK because I was all of two. But there's photos of me there so I know it's true! RFK was incredible.
