We are currently bouncing final mixes, but... - still need drum stems for 3 songs (should be ready by the end of the month) - need vocals redone for 1 song, plus small vocal corrections on a few others - more guitars to record on a few songs (atmos and solos) ...and that is it!

Our goal is to create a progressive rock album using only the core elements of a band (vocals, guitars, bass, and drums) that can stand the test of time. An emotionally charged concept album with a raw, yet polished sound that can rival some of our past musical heroes. Stay tuned.

Rob Steadman has been a beast on the drums... amazing player and the perfect fit for this project. He's finished with songs 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7. Thank you @ddimuro.bsky.social for introducing us. On another note... I think we have a final mix done on the 1st of 10 songs. 😈🤘

All vocal stems are done...just some minor corrections needed as we begin applying the final production polish. Drums are done for half of the songs, and Rob is bringing some serious groove. Absolutely love what he has added to this project. Damn does it feel good to finally be wrapping this up.

We are moving toward the finish line. Final post production has begun on songs 1-3. Rob has finished the drums and these songs are musically 100% done. We are proud to say that no auto tune or A.I. was used in the making of this album and that all sound used was created using real instruments.

Massive day for the Castillion. We finished the structure for the 10th and final song (titled Nagual), and Rob finished the drums for song 1 (Fifth Sun). Post production can now begin, and musically we have the full album finished other than some extra guitars needed on a few songs. F*CK YEAH! 👹👹👹

Vocals are done for track 9: Valley and Shadow. They are absolutely glorious. Auditory bliss. Track 10: Nagual is nearly done structurally. The final pieces are coming together perfectly.

Song 10 is underway. It's in drop B tuning... Yes, you read that right... Drop B, and it's fucking glorious. One final song to wrap up The Castillion. 👹🤘

The initial structure and guitars are done for song 9. It's gonna be an epic 6 minute track. 👹🤘

Josh figured out a way to brilliantly wrap up this album. Songs 9 and 10 are well under way. Rob heads into the studio next month to start recording drums, the final piece, then we'll start on post production. We're all very excited. 👹🤘

The lyrics are done... all 10 songs. The music is done for 8 out of 10 songs. We have music written for the first 1:30 of track 9. Rob will be in the studio in less than a month to record the drums. We are officially nearing the end, and what a journey it's been.

We have begun song number 9 out of 10. Every minute we've spent working on The Castillion has been worth it. We are very excited to finish this massive project and share it with the world.

All killer, no filler. The Castillion will be a 10 song concept album, each song able to stand on its own. 8 of 10 tracks are musically done...the end is in sight. Once they're all written and recorded we'll send them off to our drummer Rob Steadman, then begin post production.

Bass and guitar for song 7 - The Board Stretcher are done. Another masterpiece on the guitar by Josh Coker. Song 8 - Third Hand is already half done. We're going to slow things down on this one... it'll be a change up from the rest of the album which is appropriate for the story.

We are not taking this album lightly. Every song, every chord, every beat, and every note is important. The Castillion will be worth the wait.

James is working on the bass for track 7. Josh is working on the guitars and structure for track 8. John is working on the vocals for track 5. Rob will be working on the drums very soon. Stay tuned... The Castillion is on his way.

When you send your bandmates an email like "fuck me we're genesis fucking Jethro tull on coke" you're not thinking of your solo stuff anymore. 6 songs in and I don't think anyone at all, even our biggest supporters, will see this coming.

Bass guitar is done for #6. Josh has started song #7. Drumless mixes have been bounced for songs 1, 3, and 4... I just need to do some mix tweaking and they'll be ready to send off to our prospective drummer. Rockin' and rollin' over here. 🤘

I think we're just a few days and a couple mix tweaks away from sending 3 songs to the drummer... which is very exciting because it will be our first time showing these songs to someone outside of the band.

I think Josh is a wrap for guitars on songs 1, 3, 4, and 6... and 2 probably needs minimal guitar work. Now I need to finish the production work on 1, 3, and 4 so I can send them off to the drummer.

The mojo is back! Progress happening daily and I look forward to working on these songs every time I wake up in the morning.

Finished up most of The Shrew (track 3) and got a good mix last night. There's one small part Josh still needs to sort out. That Number (track 4) also might have all of the pieces it needs; right now it's a raw, straight forward rock song with just two guitars... 1/2

Josh and I got some great work in last night on song #3 (The Shrew). Almost all of the pieces are there now... some really beautiful stuff. I'm excited to edit what we recorded and get a good mix. This one is nearly done.

The Castillion update: Today I'll be focusing on our overall sound on The Fifth Sun. All of the pieces are there... I'm hoping to get it close to finished so I can copy the settings to our other tracks. Most of the hard work is already done; it's just a matter of tweaking the FX and using my ears.

Look I ain't gonna stop making albums. Playlists are the wrong way to listen to music, any music. Period. IF you would force me to listen in non album, or non single track format, that's why you make mixtapes on itunes. One song per artist max. Now have some free albums AND LISTEN PROPERLY. 😂👊
