A trial on the assassination of Patrice Lumumba, ‌the first prime minister of Congo. Lumumba's ​granddaughter wants "to search for truth and to establish different responsibilities." A 1975 Senate inquiry found the CIA had planned to kill Lumumba, although the plan was never carried out.

15 years after filing the criminal complaint, the Lumumba family welcomes the decision: "We do not use the word 'justice' lightly. Many who lived through those events, who carried both the truth and the silence of what happened, are no longer with us. That so much time has passed is itself a wound."
