Saw part of this dumpster fire today in between teaching classes. What a farce. The committee not only does not look at literary merit, but they are recommending banning four books that the Beaufort community committees ALREADY REVIEWED AND RETURNED to shelves.

The state department of education, in making this decision, is siding with a guy who is a defendant in not one, but two lawsuits against local teachers for defamation. Bravo, SCDE, great company and support of your educators.
