I just finished a Super Mario World kaizo romhack by @nixkillsmyths.bsky.social , “Endeavor”. It was recommended to me by @alyssasmw.bsky.social . It was fun and pretty tough. It took me about 25h30m. Caution: I swear a lot when i play this.

I beat hit new vanilla cape challenge romhack UNFAIR TWIRLS, by successfully unsuccessfully turning around 10 consecutive times.

I had a more complicated version of this in mind, but ended up nerfing it a lot to be considerate of all the stuff you have to do just to get to the end. Probably still will make adjustments, but really happy with how this level came together.

Thought I'd show a little more of this level off. Scuffed gameplay on my part, but I think there's a lot of neat things you can do by binding the on/off state to Mario's facing direction.

I had this idea before I had either the cape skill to do it or the asm knowledge to make it myself. Now I have both and it is really cool to finally be making a level that has existed in my head for way too long.

I just can't stay away from Lunar Magic lately. Sigh. I guess I am making a vanilla cape hack...

After beating Mod Cape before Silksong, I accepted a new mission to try and beat Volpey's Senpai before Silksong, and I just barely finished in time. What a romhack, loved it.

My goal was to beat this before Silksong released, and I got it. Level is mod cape by @tjb0607.bsky.social and its very cool. Cape is good.

This got disappeared in a deleted comment chain on the flips RHR level post, but I stand by this sentiment so I figured I would salvage the reply with a quote. (kinda not ideal that it deletes all child comments of a deleted comment)

Another tiny peek at my yoshi fly hack! Designing this has been nonstop fun every time I open Lunar Magic, and I can already feel my skill improving too.

@xoxogossipgreg.bsky.social will be showing off YUMP 2 on GDQ Hotfix this Saturday for Make Your Own Victory, and I'll be there to try and explain to @quacksilver.bsky.social what exactly is happening. It won't be long, we're just going to hit the yellow switch.

Got a little side project going in Lunar Magic, and I gotta say, I think I am cooking with this one. The premise of every level is the same, yoshi fly and eat 5 golden berries to hatch an orb at the finish line.

update: horizontal escort works almost too well. that's kinda amazing. the ceiling isn't needed but at least keeps the mushroom from drifting too much i think.
