Today is a most special holiday - it's #NationalOreoDay! 🎉 We all know it's really about this adorkable little white & black floofy boy. 🖤🤍🥰 But our hearts are big, so we'll celebrate the cookie too! We're nice like that. 🍪😁

Big day - Oreo had a bath! 🛁 He stands on his hind legs in the sink with his front legs on the divider. I was nervous & prepared to bail if need be. Oreo got washed top to bottom, dried off & given more chicken jerky treats than usual. Obviously! 🤭 So proud of him! 🥲🙌🎉

We had a follow up with the vet today & per Dr. Joel, Oreo's an all star patient! ⭐️ His back legs are getting stronger & he's moving much better. Dr. Joel knows Oreo's not a wild man, so I'll watch & see what he's comfortable with. In summation, woo hoo!!! 🙌🥰

Finally got my act together & got a much needed Target delivery today. Thankfully Oreo is feeling more independent. (ex - I can go to the bathroom by myself again. 🤭) My order included blueberry cheesecake ice cream because of its obvious medicinal value. 🍨 Right? RIGHT?!?!?!? 😁

Since Oreo isn't allowed on the sofa right now, I put blankets down on his two favorite floor sleeping spots. He loves to spin around & make a nest, but he's been unable to do that. I got up this morning & found TWO nests!! 👀🎉🥲💜

Oreo had a mini stroke last week. 😢 His back legs are weak, but functioning. Can't run/jump so we'll work on that. Since I have personal experience, I'll coach & Al will be head cheerleader. 🐊📣 Pawsitive thoughts & good vibes are appreciated. He was there for me, I'll be there for him. 🐾💞🥰

Quick update. It’s been a long week. His incision has been draining and had a seroma on Sun when last at ED. It’s burst through the incision. It’s infected. They identified high volume of wbc and bacteria via microscope. They’re putting him under now to address. They can’t close it entirely as 1/
