Should you change your habits? Absolutely. Design your routine intentionally and regularly. Small actions daily unlock your growth. What’s your 1 key habit right now?

Wow! Naming a negative emotion drops it in intensity by 20%, and if it's a happy one, can contribute to savoring it. That makes me feel excited.

Did you know that 85% of jobs are filled through networking? 😰 And a staggering 72% of professionals admit to feeling uncomfortable with networking. I see this a lot in my clients. Don't let discomfort hold you back from opportunities! 🌟

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we use them that sets us apart. Imagine converting 30 minutes of daily social media scrolling into productive time. That's 2,700 minutes over 90 days! What could you achieve?

Try this: Instead of thinking of the mundane tasks of day-to-day responsibilities as "chores", as things one "must do" or "ought to do" and mostly don't want to do, reframe them as gifts for other people or for you future self. A simple, powerful shift.

Big goals? Slice them thin. One small win at a time, savor the progress, share the journey. That’s how real change sticks.

What everyone gets wrong about emotional regulation → We can control our emotional states, but when we are sleep deprived, hypoglycemic, and stressed, our ability to manage our feelings nose dives.

Ever wondered why time flies or drags? How elastic is time? ⏳

I can't believe I still have clients who say they are "not bothered" by constant notifications. Really? Distraction lowers productivity by 20% (that bothers me!). A single interruption can throw scheduled task off by two to three hours. I set specific times when I can be interrupted.

What do you do with perfectionist tendencies? I treat my inner perfectionist as a member of my team. Where can she be most helpful?

Who else gets bored after 10 minutes? Don’t judge yourself. It’s natural. We are an absentminded species. Our brain is hard-wired to ignore most stimuli it does not find threatening or stimulating enough. So schedule focus work for 10-50 minutes, depending on energy levels. Less energy, less time.

News? I usually ignore it. And I see you rolling your eyes when I flip your negative chatter to positive with my sizable rose-colored glasses. That optimism is a superpower. Positive thoughts are more ephemeral than negative ones, but their impact significant. 😎

Feeling negative? Just 3 positive thoughts can balance that out. For awesome relationships and success, aim for a 5:1 positivity ratio.

Scheduling is a super powerful tool, and I find a lot of people don't use it fully. Admit it, how often do you schedule back-to-back meetings without ever setting aside time to check email? For example. What would change if you schedule for distraction? And emergencies? And breaks?

Humans are distraction machines! Habits > willpower for beating this natural tendency. Try single-use spaces: Save your desk for deep work & check email elsewhere. Or use different devices for different tasks.

How do you feel everyday? Exhausted, distracted? Subjected to your life rather than an actor in creating it? Or do you feel present, thoughtful, and dynamic? For the most part, we are somewhere in between. Fortunately, we can sway the balance and spend a lot more time in a high-performance zone.

When it comes to resilience, who really wants to just endure hardship? Wouldn't it be far more interesting to do more than bounce back? What if every time we took a hit, we actually thrived more? Now that is my kind of resilience!

Distraction starts inside. When you manage your internal triggers (without blame or shame), you unlock focus.

Resilience takes practice. A good bounce-back protocol: acknowledge the pain and quickly look for lessons, growth, opportunity and next best action. Speed is a virtue. Practice on easy things so when the hard s*!t happens, you know what to do.

The human brain has this incredible ability to transform repeated actions into habits. So, if you want to show up differently at work, at home, for a specific event or whatever, decide how you want to show up and practice it, repeatedly, deliberately, until it's a habit. Then see what happens.

I get the feeling people are so focused on doom that we're no longer thinking about the day-to-day. Managers still need to be managers. What characteristics did your best managers have? What are this key elements that make a good manager a great manager? How would you define an ideal manager?

William James, the father of modern psychology, said: “If you want a quality, act as if you already have it.” And the research is clear, act like you have a quality you want and, sure enough, you’ll have more of it. I think that's cool.

Feedback stings? That's your brain's social threat response. The fix: ask for it. This reduces the threat & puts you in control

I work with a lot of people eyeing the next opportunity. I ask: What are you striving for in a broader sense? What is the bigger context, the longer-term goal? Think really full-life, this-is-what-I'm-after and opportunities look different and decisions easier. Then: "Where are you now?"
