It’s wild to me that The Equals were never bigger than “Baby, Come Back” and The Clash covering “Police On My Back.” They have so many bangers and their songs are like 85% choruses.

It’s Chad from
@perennialtheband.bsky.social
’s birthday today. That means you need to go grab the nearest guitar you see and windmill strum an open A chord as hard and fast as you can until your arm can’t take it anymore.

One thing that needs to be mentioned outside of how incredibly talented and funny she was is that Catherine O’Hara was an absolute smoke show. One of my first celebrity crushes and remained absolutely flawless with age.

Trying to keep a Mod wardrobe or at least dress like Paul Collins' guitar tech is funny. I had to pivot looking at a certain brand of neckerchief I like because I would have to pay UK tariffs to have them shipped here.

I’ve listened to “Ridin’ in My Car” by NRBQ at least 10 times in the last 24 hours. That’s really everything you want/need in a song.

It's a bummer of all bummers knowing Rick Froberg and John Reis will never make music together again. I've been listening to Hot Snakes a lot lately. A lot of ink is rightfully used on Drive Like Jehu, but Hot Snakes were really one of the great American underground bands. 4 perfect albums.

Alex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him. White. Hot. Rage.

Watching these videos, I can’t help the sinking feeling that these ICE Nazis had killed before joining up. The way they conduct themselves after the fact is so calm and with a sense of familiarity. These people are pure evil.

I saw someone on here looking for short albums a few days ago and I totally forgot about the greatest 29-minute album of all time. The longest of the 10 songs is 3:20. Everything else is under 3 minutes, and there are classic tracks all over the goddamn place.

For the Stones, nothing beats that horned-up Countrified Blues Rawk run from Beggars through Exile. But there's something about the Brian Jones era that feels even more incredible to listen to on a brick-ass North Eastern winter day like today.
