Very little. Bris's father just wanted her to have an easy, quiet life. The original plan was to send her to a girl's school, but that was out when her father also passed. She wound up in the care of her town, and idolizing her father's swordsmanship led her to join up with the town guard

Bris tossing a sword into Fordola's cell, and when she asks what it's for, Bris just replies "use it ta measure the gap between who ya should be and who ya are" and "maybe ya aren't what they need, but ya might be all they have." Yugiri quietly asks later if Bris was talking to Fordola or herself

The more I work on Bris's story, the more angry I get at the short shift the Stormblood characters got. I know I complain about Yugiri's treatment a lot, but honestly Fordola was a great character too. And Yotsuyu should've lived so her "penance" was to travel with Gosetsu (who I also miss)

Actually this would be kinda amusing in light of having shipped Bris with Yugiri. And it would be kinda funny if she spotted the imposter Bris, made some down-bad remark, and it stunlocks Samidare so hard it blows his cover "Neither your spirit nor your grace" is Yugiri sugarcoating the incident

Oh this is an easy one and not just made up on the spot. When Bris has her final confrontation with the Garlean that ordered her village destroyed, she has the chance to kill her. And she doesn't, she leaves her for the Doman liberation to deal with as they see fit. It's the first milestone for her
