One of my earliest memories is when our friends in Indy got us amazing seats to a Pacers/Knicks playoff game (the same series as Reggie Miller's "8 points in 9 seconds" game), and my dad almost got us kicked out & in multiple fights cause he was going so hard for the Knicks.

Unsurprising but shitty news: My 4th and 5th grade school, Euclid Montessori, is doing to be demolished. It’s one of the oldest school buildings in the entire city. It took a direct hit from last year’s EF-3 tornado and lost a lot of its roof. I wish they could’ve mothballed it or sold it. Man.

I had a great time visiting MO Family Transportation! When the tornado hit last year, this Black-woman-owned business was one of the first to answer the call, supporting the clean-up effort with their dump truck services. Thank you to our neighbors who show up when our community needs them most.

It appears the damage sustained to the Shelley House in the tornado, while not overtly visible, was more significant than we thought. And after a year of abandonment & vandalism, this significant piece of local & civil rights history is in danger of being lost for good. 💔

My body feels more tired from trying (and failing) to rest than I would have going about my normal day today. 😫
