The government announced this week that it has tripled emergency funding for councils to tackle rough sleeping and emergency homelessness - and Leeds will receive £626,206. This is very welcome, to strengthen our service and the strong partnerships that we have in Leeds delivering this support.

The Lawn Tennis Association has offered the possibility to upgrade the tennis courts on Cross Flatts Park. @andrewscopes.bsky.social, Angela Gabriel (on behalf of Friends of Cross Flatts Park), and I visited a recently improved site in Harehills.

It was good (if cold) to help Cllr Andrew Scopes and Angela Gabriel remove the poppy decorations from the cemetery this morning. It takes a lot of work to maintain these and put them up each year for Remembrance, so volunteers are always welcome. Please get in touch if you can help next year.
