Had an event at an LGS and it went great. Lots of new players playing and talking deck strategy and getting some fantastic games in. We gave out promos to everyone who attended. We’ll post some gameplay from it to show some of the quick and dynamic games.

Important rules detail specific to Catfight regarding this card. You cannot bounce the cat to put this into play because that is part of the cost. If it was part of the resolution, it would work, but not the cost. That’s why you can Path To Exile your cat, not exile it, and get a basic.

Ux Tempo continues to be one of the best decks in the format.

This seems really good, especially when Shadowspear is such a common equipment to encounter.

In a singleton format, an enchantment version of Portable Hole is pretty great.

I guarantee that Catfight is the most interesting format for this to exist in.

For those new to the format, you can play X spells as long as they’re still 1 cmc. This one could definitely be fun.

The hits just keep coming. This might be the best 1 cmc white cantrip.

This is an insanely needed reprint, especially in this format. The art is amazing as well!

Proliferate is becoming more and more of a viable strategy in the format.

There is a lot of chatter recently about the cost of MtG and we feel it too. It’s part of where this format came from. If you are interested in trying a fun and fast format that is 1v1 whwre you can play as competitively as you want AND build strong decks for under $50, check out Catfight.

If Urza’s Saga catches a ban in Legacy or even Modern because of the rules change, then Catfight might be the premier place to play it. It would also help make the format even more affordable.

This could be really good in the right deck. Lifegain can be a huge strategy in this format and this is quite the payoff.

For those new to the format, a rules detail. This is totally legal because the creature side is “uncastable”. Every castable side is a 1 cmc non-creature, and that’s what determines legality.

These effects are so good when they also come with an untap.

This is kind of interesting in the format. If you can buy enough time, this could be a huge life swing.

The versatility makes this so much more playable, because I don’t think that first alternate cost is very castable in this format. Kumano is the only possibility that immediately comes to mind. But 3 mana isn’t bad at all.

The extra lifegain really pushes this card in this format.

We just keep getting the best version of this every single set.

Reprinted AGAIN! This is a huge help to make this format more accessible. I’d love to see this format staple come down to $2-3.

The elusive “one more gold land” has arrived.

Sometimes they just print the perfect card for a format.

Very relieved this was printed at 2 and not 1 because this definitely would have warped the format.

Banlist update! Grafdigger’s Cage and Barrow-Blade are unbanned. Cage does not prevent the cat from coming back on its death trigger so it really only functions as a sideboard card. Rules have been clarified so cards like Barrow-Blade remove all other abilities, except the cat’s death trigger.
