hey if you're someone interested in flatting/coloring comics, this is a great resource. very few people know how to do it correctly, and it's not difficult but it IS more technically intensive than most people assume! these are useful skills!

You can't make this up. I emailed @jukeboxprint.bsky.social about how disappointed I am in them now encouraging their customers to use generative Ai to "create" stickers. This was their response.

Things have been a little terrible lately but we're about to watch a sing-a-long version of Kpop Demon hunters in a theatre, so that helps a lot.

I think the next time I'm working on a graphic novel I'll keep track of everything I listen to/watch while actively working on it. It'd probably be a neat snapshot to look back at later. Maybe print it out and put it in the comp copy I keep?

We were going to have a ceremonial raising of the pride flag over city hall today, but someone vandalized the flag pole and rigging last night to prevent that from happening. Neat.

Getting a key made is definitely something I took for granted in the city, good lord. The nearest key cutting machine is an hour and a half ferry ride away. Guess I have to find a locksmith? I think???

The world is on fire, so of course I decided to try out keeping a sourdough starter and making bread again. Very Pandemic of me, I know. But there is a sort of comfort in gently nestling my starter in a heated blanket.

I just told my wife "the office is clear of dead bodies". It occurred to me very suddenly that it's probably weird that our family refers to dirty dishes as dead bodies.

My Uncle Chris works in radio, he has a fantastic voice and speaks for a living - the fact that the gift made him speechless was something I'm going to remember for the rest of my life.

What was it with 90's-2000's media and forgiveness? I was too young at the time, is there a historical context for it? Was there a popular book or personality at the time that popularized it?

Wife and I have been rewatching Voyager, and WOOF the 'moral quandries' of the 2000s are bonkers. Is it right to rescue someone from a dangerous "cult" even if they want to be in the cult??? Also don't forget to forgive the person responsible for a genocide against your people!
