NUFC fan in Leeds. Welcome chat about FPL, Football Manager and Florian Thauvin in a tuxedo
Had Pope and Senesi, respectively out of the team and suspended so likely 0 pts. Transferred in Verbruggen and OāReilly. Sensible transfers. 1 point between them after conceding 8 goals. Marginal gains.

That goal might mean I get a green arrow in spite of forgetting to save my team. Meaning I played Rodon, Senesi and Thiago instead of Lacroix, Keane and Mbuemo. Could have been a whole lot worse

As I understand the process, an infant Pope is currently entering the āConclaveā - a chrysalis-like form from which a fully grown adult pope will eat his way out after a month of growth. The adult Pope will have a hat as soon as he emerges but does not yet have the ability to fly.

AM chip that I played on Eddie Howe two weeks ago. 4 matches, 4 wins (assuming a miracle from palace donāt occur) and looking at around 40 total points. My most lucrative chip in nearly 20 years of playing this.

Iāll shout it from the fucking rooftops⦠My Dad is 80. He was at the fairs cup final in 1969. My one wish as a Newcastle fan has been to see us win a cup with him, before heās gone. Today Newcastle United fulfilled that wish. This club is in our blood and I wouldnāt have it any other way.

Isnāt Rupert Lowe the guy that ran Southampton FC into the ground, leading them on a path to League One? Once upon a time I remember him being the by word for a bad owner. Amazing how these Teflon figures keep failing upwards.

Newcastle will win something in the next few years, given our wealth. Do we win something this season? It rests on what we get from the squad players on the day. How much can Murphy, Wilson, an ageing Schar and Tripps raise their game? If we see the same as we did today, thereās no chance.

The USA is currently in the process of making an incredible series of geopolitical and economic mistakes. It is driving its allies away and going to be alone on the world stage. Europe will move closer to China, which although a despotic state, is a dependable trading partner. 1/2

When can we stop fucking around and just rejoin the EU? Brexit - lovely idea, enjoyed the blue Passports and pretending Steve Baker was hard. We all had a good laugh. But the world is a serious place and we need to take our spot back in Europe rather than hope the big boys will leave us alone.

Great that the UK was included in that Weimar statement. God I hope we rejoin the EU, this is a new and dangerous world and I donāt think Iāve ever felt more as part of a little island.

Doing well to dominate but a few players underperforming: Almiron so one footed and Longstaff looks like a man under pressure. Miley looking really good. Also Osula looks like heās trying too hard for his goal, but heās fed from scraps to date

Eddie Howe is such an incredible manager and we are lucky to have him. To bounce back after the Brentford loss with 7 wins on the spin is incredible. heās hard working, bright and just so resilient under pressure. Iād just love him and that squad to win something

The Premier League is the best league in the world. The refereeing standards are deeply inconsistent with no transparency, leaving the fan with little faith that the right decisions will be made. Iāve written an article about it for True Faith - give it a read here!

One of the biggest problems I think we have is a lack of leadership on the pitch. We badly miss what prime Trippier offered us week in week out.

The squad now needs a major, major overhaul. Lotta players too old/crap. The choice is whether we trust Howe/Mitchell to work in tandem to spread the wealth a little more evenly rather than 50m+ players

This squad got us to UCL and a cup final. They were either Ashley era or bought to fight relegation. They have outplayed themselves, but weāre now seeing declining returns. We need to rebuild - and it might take a big sale to actually do that.

We have such a weird squad. When Isak injured, we canāt bring on our 2nd choice striker because heās made of glass and our 3rd choice is a development project. Instead we move Gordon to CF and then bring on Barnes, a 2nd choice LW who cost Ā£38m (!) Mitchell was right - weāre so unbalanced.

Six years ago, I had a choice between two wolves players - I was 0.1 off one so went for Jonny. Missed out on most of Matt Dohertyās big season. I remembered this when picking between Cunha and Strand Larsen. Went with Cunha, and have enjoyed the points that my previous lesson delivered

Think Dan Burn had one of his best games for

by not playing - showing how much he was missed when heās not part of our CB pair. No way that he lets Soucek have a free header to score and itās a different game then.

Andy Hinchcliffe saying that taking the Isak chance first time was an easier than controlling it first. Honestly what are you taking about man. Hard to listen to sub par LB talk about finishing. his career highlight was being in the Sainsburys England 1998 World Cup coin collection.

Right weāre only a month or so away from another transfer window. What do we think, are we going back in for Guehi (or another CB)? Or changing approach and going for a RW? Personally think weāll look to get both targets - am pretty sure Mitchell will want to make a mark this window
