Well my ride was fantastic. The float was run efficiently and respectfully. I saw a lot of calling out if things weren’t right like non mask wearing or swearing. Can’t speak for other floats but 24B was a tight ship. Now the crowd, thats Oofa. Very concentrated nowadays compared to 40 yrs ago

I have maintained for years that the city should rope up a couple of feet every 500 feet or so along the route to give pedestrians, cyclists, etc, the right to cross the street safely and without having to hoist things past people. A tiny sliver of open road to let people get through.
