We ABSOLUTELY need to do more to improve the public’s trust of public officials and institutions, but promoting bills that fail to create real transparency while telling Michiganders, “don’t get your hopes up,” about BI-PARTISAN FOIA expansion is political sleight of hand.

"In 2024, NIH invested over $1 billion in Michigan research, supporting nearly 12,000 jobs and generating $2.5 billion in economic activity." Trump and Musk's cuts to NIH funding will destroy thousands of Michigan jobs.
