Last week, @clubdemadrid.bsky.social and the Institute for Climate, Democracy and Inclusion (CDI) concluded a mission in Guatemala led by three of our Members: former President of Costa Rica Carlos Alvarado Quesada, former Prime Ministers Kjell Magne Bondevik of Norway and Stefan Löfven of Sweden.

On the sidelines of Club de Madrid’s mission to Guatemala, yesterday’s agenda focused on dialogue with key national and international actors committed to strengthening democratic institutions and the rule of law.

🇬🇹 This week, Club de Madrid is on the ground in Guatemala to observe and support key institutional selection processes — the Constitutional Court, Supreme Electoral Tribunal, and Attorney General — crucial for the country’s democratic future ahead of the 2027 elections.
