On the principle of “Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence,” this article fails to reach even a low bar. I mean the article — which I read three times — not just the headline. We can only conclude that the "extraordinary claims require... " principle is not in use for this protagonist.

The Trump administration is well on its way to applying the philosophy of “If we stop testing, we’ll have fewer cases” from the COVID era to economic data. I expected this to happen during his first administration and was surprised when it didn’t. It looks like it’s happening this time around.
