UGHH YEAH AND THAT WORKS SO WELL WITH THE CONCEPT OF PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY WHEN LEAVING BAD SHIT BEHIND. You have to want to, you have to choose it for yourself. It's hard and it takes a LOT of choosing for yourself. Husk is almost in a way infantilizing Angel like that WHICH HE DOES OFTEN!!!

I think he also sees drug as a Valentino thing and not really an Angel thing. Like oh “Val the one who keeps him with the promise of drugs so if I help him not want drugs he’ll stay at the hotel with me”

To be honest, a little details like that really show where it going. Husk biggest flaw is that he think he knows what best for other but he can’t even see what’s best for himself. But also doesn’t see that he drags people down with him because he is truly afraid to be alone.

Angel in-story dodging all the other characters’ hopes and expectations even when he’s playing the part they want him to play…however they please or disappoint with Angel’s delivery I’m near-certain arc 2 is gonna be a nasty surprise for Husk.

With the highlight of Angel’s sin being murder rather than addiction, with addiction more and more being treated like a symptom of trauma and an obstacle to recovery rather than a sin in and of itself…I’m so hopeful asdfghjkl; please give me some of your skepticism before I get hurt Nilla 😂

I think if they call back to season 2 moments specifically it can work, especially if they lean into the connection between Husk’s s1e6 “I ain’t the one tryin’ to get to Heaven” and Angel’s s2e6 “I've accepted that redemption's not really for people like me” to highlight it being a self worth issue

One can only hope tho I feel it would be hard to reconcile that with season 2 Angel personally 🙂‍↕️ it would feel too much like the only thing making him mentally unwell are the drugs and not that he's mentally unwell already and the drugs exacerbate his already present issues/remove his filter 💀
