This year I’ve switched from Windows to Linux, cancelled all of my online subscriptions, uninstalled Instagram/Tiktok (Twitter still pending) and bought a domain and webhosting to make a private website. Next step is replacing discord with IRC/TS. Social media was fun, but it’s time to go home.

Do not give discord (or any social media platform) your ID. Not only will they not keep your data safe, you’re opening the door to easier surveillance. It’s no coincidence that all the big tech companies have been taking away your privacy and anonymity under the guise of “protecting the kids”.
