For the most part, Wicked is silly and fun, but it also gives me a lot to think about re: direct action vs. persuasion. That and “you’re beautiful if I think about beauty in a different way is NOT a compliment, especially coming from a guy who’s handsome and nice but otherwise just ok.

Just heard an interview on CBC q with a woman who had a stroke, and for a while, she felt deeply contented and in love with the world. When I had those seizures 2 years ago, I felt the same. It only lasted a few months, but I try to go back there when I feel hopeless. Everything is a miracle.
