#TodaysTea The name in herbal tea speak: red=rooibos, chai=cinnamon I skipped straight to the milk on this one. The rooibos gets drowned out by the cinnamon, and the cinammon teas just don't relax me at all. It's such a strong flavor, even regular milk can't cut it enough.

Also got a bike trainer, to train on rainy days and Mondays. Using it just for Zone 2 stuff at the moment. Staying over 140bpm heart rate with only leg power is juuuuust enough that I can't turn my brain off and it gets tedious, even if I watch some YouTube while doing it.

On my sixth year of full-time employment and I still have no idea what to put for the year-end self assessment. Boss, you tell me if I'm meeting expectations!

#TodaysTea Got another sample pack, this time a fall one from Republic of Tea. Started with the apple cider one, as I'd previously asked of apple teas "why not drink cider instead?". And so I ask of this one too; it's kinda weak, even affer double bagging and adding sugar.

#TodaysTea all over the place here. I was hesitant because I don't really like mandarins, then I steeped this and it smelled lovely. Then I drank it and it didn't really taste like anything? And then it had a pleasant aftertaste! 😵‍💫

It's endearing that Donovan wrote "When you've made your mind up forever to be mine" about a girl he liked, and then she wound up doing exactly that. Not bad for a guy calling himself "Sunshine Superman".

Previously I did the whole Mark Rippetoe strength training thing, but these days my focus is on getting better at mountain biking. Currently lift 3x a week with a couple big compound lifts and some auxiliaries to maintain muscle mass, not trying to grow it.

Smol Castor was first, and is still primary even after all this. I based him off of clip art of beaver engineers, actually, and made him smaller than myself irl because I thought it better reflected the species and how I thought it'd stack up next to wolves and whatnot.

The werebeav form came via weird river magic, not from genetic experiments, so I don't know. First I would need to find a girlfriend to make "kids" a possibility 😭

I do find it frustrating that every drink people get snobbish about—coffee, tea, beer, wine, liquor—has a psychoactive component to it. Makes all the pretension ring a bit hollow when they can't muster the same enthusiasm for stuff that only exists to taste good.

#TodaysTea One thing you haven't seen me try yet is Actual Tea, and that's not because I don't like it, just that I do this stuff in the evenings when I don't want caffeine. I picked up a big box at Costco as a lower-caffeine option than coffee in late afernoons, though.

Under a full moon is always fun, but the best times are when I can be helpful to somebody! Like clearing debris out of a path or standing up when I see someone getting bullied.

Clothing budget has been mostly fine, still growing muscle from workouts which causes some rippage but I have all my outfits purchased. I can prepare for the initial transformation and get some cheap Goodwill stuff to rip out of.
