I have worked out what to say to family member wondering which of their 4 A Levels to drop. Dropping Spanish will be the one you regret most in terms of love of the subject, the learning. Keeping Spanish will be the one you regret most in terms of the exam, workload, grades.

English is in a mess with this half baked knowledge nonsense. They haven't even started on the "knowledge" of English language. Because its better thought of as skills. You COULD think of breaking down skills into knowledge. Like APP or the framework of objectives. But that was lost 15 years ago.

Is the government doing what it said and using AI? That would seem to be the best explanation of some of the irrational changes of decisions.
