I’m watching Sense 8 and, as an American, can I just say thank god for Netflix etc. because network television could be so much better if they’d cuss or show some tits once in a damn while.

People are hating on this. But it’s a report from a FASHION reporter. And let me tell you, as a short girl who lived through the 90’s with my jeans always dragging the ground, I too focused on and LOVEE the fashion. That doesn’t take anything away from the meaningful performance!

Rereading one of my favorite writer’s works — I’d forgotten about this. It’s so touching to me. Both creating and consuming art is kind of a shared, almost personal experience. I’m so thankful for creators. To then be appreciated as a consumer is unexpected but so meaningful. ❤️

Well I’ve drunk half of my snowstorm wine and cried over Garth Brooks/Trisha Yearwood singing at Jimmy Carter’s funeral after a long day of prep. I should go to bed now. But I’m hung up on this American Primeval show.

We finally tried Weetabix. A friend sent some to us. NOT what I was expecting. I thought it would be like our shredded wheat! All I know is we are going to need more. 😂

In the South, there is a tradition for the meal on New Year’s Day. It’s to consist of black eyed peas for luck and a leafy green (collards or cabbage) for prosperity. This year I thought I’d messed up — did something to the cornbread that made it more like a dessert. But it was the best one yet! 👊🏼

I have an air purifier, a space heater and a brown noise app running loudly every night PLUS I sleep with one ear plug in. And I STILL will startle awake at any little sound because overactive brains and anxiety never sleep, apparently.

Just thought you guys should know… Had my one year post (major) reduction appt and the deep, seemingly embedded bra grooves in my shoulders are gone. The doc said that would happen. I didn’t believe. But it’s true. They’re completely gone. 😱

52 year old perimenopausal woman ON HER PERIOD having to go to Walmart on the Saturday before christmas? These people didn’t know the danger they were in. 😂

Update. It’s not the flu. It’s walking pneumonia. I’ve been a mom for 30 years. Haven’t experienced this one before. 😬
