Have left the hotel and am now awaiting my flight. Sorry to anyone I didn't get to say goodbye to. It was a crazy jam-packed weekend, and my only real regret was arriving Thursday instead of Wednesday. Look forward to doing it again next year!

Busy first day here at the con, had to hit the ground running with reg and trying to find late food and booze. After being awake since 10am wenesday. I'm fucking drained.I hope I get a good rest tonight.

I had one of those moments where I question reality today. For no particular reason, while going to my vehicle, I started singing "Heaven coming down" by The Tea Party. I shit you not, as soon as I got in my vehicle, the person on the radio said "And now here's Heaven coming down by The Tea Party."

If you're a fan of the original Silent Hill 2 and have been thinking of purchasing the remake, I recommend it. They did an amazing job on it.

Haven't posted on here about it yet, but my home is evacuated for a wildfire again, just like the one that devastated it 8 years ago. It was touch and go, but we are being allowed to fly there. I will not be able to go directly home, though. Was a shitty end to an otherwise great con.

so somehow a little wild ferret got into the house, and bit me while I was catching it. waiting to be seen in the ER now

In today's weirdness: A random fucking ferret somehow got into my home and showed up in @zary.bsky.social's room, then proceeded to bite him. It must have crawled in through a pipe or vent or something. I've never seen a wild ferret so I wonder if it's someone's lost or abandoned pet?

Also, nothing like airports to remind you that every boomer in existence likes to wear a collared shirt.

Have a trip planned to Seattle for mid September! Will be hanging with @enzoleon.bsky.social~! I rarely go down to the US for anything but a convention but I found getting to affordable!

The next thing I have to consider if I keep up with here is if I am going to separate my spicy posts from my non-spicy. Alt/AD accounts don't seem to be a thing here yet? I do notice there's a content warning tab, though. Is that enough? Would like to make sure norms don't stumble on spicy.
