This week is #BefriendingWeek, when we celebrate the impact that befriending can have. Every day, our own volunteer befrienders & penpals here at Omega do a brilliant job of supporting lonely and vulnerable people across the UK - bringing companionship, encouragement and laughter into their lives.

As the colder weather rolls in, we at Omega want to keep hearts warm with a big burst of creativity from our amazing Pupil Pals! Children from different schools have been busy making beautiful, colourful drawings to send out to care homes & people who might be feeling a little lonely this season.

Pupil Pals is well and truly brightening the lives of many individuals across the UK. We receive some wonderful drawings from a variety of schools and age groups. Thank-you again to all the schools so far that have helped put a smile on someone's face. 🌈🏫

Huge thanks to everyone who attended our very busy Autumnal Omega Quiz, once again hosted by the very generous and talented GreenHouse Café. We managed to raise a staggering £550 and were thrilled to give out some fantastic prizes, all generously donated by local businesses and volunteers.

This week is #LonelinessAwarenessWeek, led by the Marmalade Trust. Loneliness can affect anyone, at any stage of life, and can be made worse by other challenges such as bereavement, caregiving, frailty or health conditions. For many of the people we support, loneliness is part of day-to-day life.
