I climbed 300 feet at the rock gym on Tuesday, 400 on Thursday, and I’m hoping for 500 today. So far, I’m still on track to get the mile by August 31!

I'm trying vertical mile at the rock gym again this year. It's exactly what it sounds like -- climbing a total of 5,280 feet in the gym by August 31. Last year I failed miserably. Hoping for victory this time!

Today, we’re taking the kids to Dollywood for the first time ever. I have a sinking suspicion that my oldest will need some Dramamine and my middle kid will have to be pried off the coasters. Youngest is most likely to get carried off by an eagle while laughing like a maniac.

Climbed outside for the first time today. I was terrible at it, but I had so much fun!

Well. I packed a bag so I guess I really am going outdoor climbing tomorrow. 😅

I know I said I wasn’t insane and wouldn’t dare climb outside, but my rock climbing friends invited me to go this Saturday, and I just might do it. 😅 I mean, I reserve the right to heckle from the bottom and only belay the others, but I’m really thinking about going.

My three year old referred to a restaurant as a “dinner store” earlier and all I can figure is he’s thinking on a plane we haven’t arrived at yet. 😂😂😂

My neighbor got a trampoline and I can't get over how safe those things are these days. It's got a net, a ladder to get in it, padded spring guards, etc. The one I had when I was a kid had exposed rusty springs, no net, and we got on it by using a cinder block or a plastic lawn chair.

Tomorrow is going to be a fabulous day. 😎

I recently started shopping at Ingles because Kroger let me down or screwed me over one too many times, and I'm trying to be more mindful where I spend my money. I have fully converted to being an Ingles shopper. What a pleasant store!

The beauty of me being able to wish my next door neighbor Eid Mubarak and her then telling me Happy Easter holidays this week brings me so much joy. It’s ugly out there in the world, but on our corner of the street, we value and respect each other’s diversity. Our children will be better for it.
