Kemi Badenoch has sacked Jenrick from the Shadow Cabinet to end the psychodrama. Ironically, it just creates even more drama. Bit of a Catch-22

Was 10yrs since the death of David Bowie the other day, which was all tied to the release of his final record, Blackstar, one of the most haunting album launches I've ever seen. As a result, it's also 10yrs since 'David is dead' on CBB, which was one of the funniest misunderstandings aired on TV.

I missed it on the first watch, but my god, I've seen Roxy on the Traitors when she puts herself forward as most likeable player. Would have died inside if I was there.

With Nadhim Zahawi's defection, it only cements the view that Reform UK is a last chance saloon for former Tory ministers, as opposed to a movement with fresh ideas and people from outside the bubble.

Fiona fumbled her gambit to take down Rachel at the roundtable. Getting offended about Amanda not confiding in her became the root reason to gun for Rachel.

I love how messy the Traitors are this year. Fiona is obviously on the wrong foot to accuse Rachel of lying about Amanda, but she's right not to trust a word she says. Rachel is clearly a lone wolf, and would do anything to win.

Trump's been hinting at military options in Venezuela since 2017. Reminds me of the words of Masha Gessen. Believe the autocrat.

Spending Xmas/NY in the countryside with family. Went to a village carol concert where the vicar compared the world to a Terry's chocolate orange. All is well with the world 🥰

Almost a decade late to the party, I've started watching Stranger Things. S1 finale is good but goddammit there's a scene with flickering lights, thought I'd have a seizure.

Another recruiter call this morning. Admission that Rachel Reeves didn't inspire much confidence, Budget was making people nervous and there's just little demand for hiring atm broadly speaking.

Some good news. We need to see many more rich or powerful people jailed who, like him. abuse their power & cause great harm. Musk, Trump, Putin, Netanyahu, Murdoch, Bannon, Farage, Streeting, Rothermere... Those who punch down in their abuse of power, in particular, need to be held to account.

For a disturbingly long time, some people were suggesting we just do what Sweden did. Was a different country, much smaller population spread out in a less densely populated way and different health care system. But still they did.

It's WILD that, in All's Fair Ep.2, a woman takes her own life due to financial woes, and the next scene is literally the main cast talking about it while swigging champage on a private jet...on the way to a jewellery auction.

The line “vote for us or you’ll get the far right” doesn’t really work when the policies you’re enacting are barely distinguishable from what the far right propose.
